Andre Therrien has over 15 years training in survival and outdoor skills. Andre is of Metis decent and has always had a strong interest for his traditional skills and culture. He has been immersed in various outdoor activities all his life. Beginning at age 14 he completed his first course in outdoor skills. Subsequently, he has completed many intensive survival courses, including the year-long Wilderness Guide Program in northern Wisconsin as well as tracking and survival courses at Tom Brown Jr's Tracker School in New Jersey. He has also trained alongside Special Forces including the Navy Seals Team II and VI and also members of the Green Beret Special Forces. He has a great passion for spending time in the woods and self-education through research and personal experiences. Andre is a Commercial Helicopter Pilot and Paramedic by trade and knows first hand the necessity of having proper survival training. He incorporates all of these experiences and skills into everything taught.

In addition to training, Andre also has a love for teaching and sharing knowledge of skills to those who are interested. He has taught courses for many years, including tanning courses, bow-drill fire starting courses and survival skills. Andre was not only a camp counselor for the largest summer camp in Vermont, but has also repeatedly been asked to provide survival and wood skills to future camp counselors at the Farm & Wilderness Organization in the U.S.
